AI listing checker · iPhone, Android and web

How DealUp AI checks a listing.

DealUp AI is an AI app for iPhone, Android and the web that checks a used car, property or second-hand listing before you buy. Here is exactly what happens between the link you paste and the report you read.

From link to report

What happens when you paste a link

A report usually takes under a minute. The same rules apply on iPhone, Android and the web.
  1. 01

    The listing is identified

DealUp AI recognizes the marketplace, checks that the link points to the exact listing, reads the price, description and specifications, and keeps up to 25 listing photos in private storage.

  2. 02

    You add your context

Meeting in person or delivery, how you will use a car, living in a property or investing, and your dealbreakers. The analysis follows them.

  3. 03

One AI analysis with live web search

An AI model reads the whole listing once and searches the web for comparable listings, so the price, risks, checklist and verdict come from the same reading and never contradict each other.

  4. 04

    Fixed rules compute the result

The score, caps, verdict, price arithmetic and section order are computed by deterministic rules, not by the AI, so two identical situations get the same outcome.

Score out of 100

Five dimensions, one score

Each dimension is scored from 0 to 100, then weighted. For property, condition counts for 25 % and consistency for 10 %.
  1. 01

    Price and value · 25 %

How the asking price compares with the market for the same item or the same kind of property.

  2. 02

    Condition · 20 %

Visible wear, repairs, maintenance and anything that will need money soon.

  3. 03

    Evidence · 25 %

What the listing actually proves: documents, history, serial numbers, area, receipts.

  4. 04

    Consistency · 15 %

Whether the text, photos, specifications and location tell the same story.

  5. 05

    Transaction safety · 15 %

How the sale is set up: payment, meeting, deposit, delivery and paperwork.

Four verdicts

A clear call, with caps that protect you

A confirmed critical risk caps the score at 29, a blocking issue at 59 and two unresolved high risks at 64, whatever the price.
  1. 01

    Buy

Score of 80 or more, no blocking issue and a valid, acceptable price. Next step: follow the checklist.

  2. 02

    Negotiate

Score between 65 and 79, or an asking price above the fair price. Next step: make the suggested offer.

  3. 03

    Verify first

Score of 64 or less, a blocking issue to clear, or a price that cannot be checked. Next step: ask for the missing evidence.

  4. 04

    Pass

Score below 40 or a confirmed critical risk. Next step: avoid the listing.

Fair price

How the fair price is estimated

The asking price is compared with current listings in the same country and currency, as close as possible in model, version, age, mileage or area, condition and accessories. Brand-new, professionally refurbished and trade-in prices are not used as comparables for a private sale. You get a market range, a fair price, a confidence level, an opening offer and a target range that never exceeds the asking price. When comparables are too thin, the report says so instead of guessing. For a rental, the rent is compared with the local market but never negotiated.

Photo review

What the photos can and cannot show

The AI reviews the listing photos and any photos the seller sends you later: visible wear, details that contradict the description, missing parts or rooms. Each finding points to its photo. A photo is a clue, not proof: the report never certifies condition or authenticity, and missing evidence is marked as unverified, never as an accusation.

Checklist and message

What you take to the seller

The report ends with a ready-to-send message to the seller and a checklist of up to four checks per phase: before the meeting, during the inspection and before you pay (or before ordering, on receipt and before confirming receipt for a delivery). When the seller replies or sends new photos, you can add them and the report is updated, keeping the parts that did not change.

Categories

An analysis built for what you buy

Each listing is classified into one profile. An unexpected category is still analyzed with the general profile.
  1. 01

    Cars and vehicles

Identity and documents, mileage, maintenance, test drive, safety and immediate costs.

  2. 02

    Real estate

Local market and price per area, living area, condition and works, documents, building costs and the purchase process.

  3. 03

    Electronics

Exact model and configuration, functions, wear, repairs, locks and accessories.

  4. 04

    Watches

Exact reference and variant, movement, parts, condition, service history and evidence.

  5. 05

    Fashion

Size, material, measurements, wear, defects and brand consistency, without certifying authenticity.

  6. 06

    Appliances

Dimensions, age, functions, maintenance, safety and transport.

  7. 07

    Everything else

Use, critical functions, condition, compatibility, evidence and the transaction.

Public data

Official area data for property

Before a property analysis, DealUp AI adds official area indicators when they are available: Census ACS and FHFA in the United States; the UK House Price Index across the UK and HM Land Registry Price Paid Data in England and Wales; CSO median prices by Eircode area in Ireland; DVF recorded sales, Géorisques and Insee in France. These figures describe the area, never the value of the specific property.

Limits

What DealUp AI does not do

DealUp AI is a decision aid, not an inspection, an appraisal or a guarantee.
  1. 01

    No certification

It never certifies authenticity, actual condition, absence of theft, the seller’s identity or a risk-free purchase.

  2. 02

    No accusations

Missing information is reported as unverified, with a question to ask, never as proof of fraud.

  3. 03

    Your decision

You choose whether to send the message, make the offer or walk away.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How DealUp AI analyzes a used car, property or second-hand listing: comparable listings for the fair price, photo review, a score out of 100, four verdicts and a checklist.
Which AI does DealUp AI use?

A large language model with live web search reads the listing and finds comparable listings. The score, caps, verdict and price arithmetic are then computed by DealUp’s own deterministic rules.

Is the fair price an appraisal?

No. It is a reference for your offer, based on comparable listings currently for sale, with a confidence level. It is not a formal valuation, a survey or an inspection.

Is my data shared with the seller or other users?

No. Your report, your messages and the seller’s replies stay private. You can choose to share a report through a secret link that never includes your conversation with the seller.
